Whoots! I finally got it! The long awaited.
I adore Casting Crowns. They're only second to Jars of Clay, of course. Hahaah! I've all their albums. But I guess what attracted and still attracts me to them are their lyrics more than their music actually. Every piece tells a story. A real poignant and raw story that touches you whether you're a believer or not. If I were to read the words and not hear the music, I'd still be gripped.

And don't you just love the album art? All of them…:

Mark Hall, on lead vocals, says they chose the title The Altar and The Door cause:

“At the altar, everything makes sense. When we’re in the church and spending time with God, we know what we’re supposed to do and how to live. Everything is black and white. But somewhere between the altar and the door, when we leave and go out into our lives, it all leaks out. Everything gets gray again. It’s like we have these two lives, and the Christian life is the journey between the altar and door — trying to get the things you’ve got in your head, into your hands, into your feet, and into your life. This album is all about that journey of realization, the struggles we encounter and the victory of seeing it as possible.”

The struggles we encounter. And the victory of seeing it as possible...
